Professional Christmas tree decorating in Eagle and Boise
We come to your home, shape every branch and build your tree in layers: lights, ribbon, ornaments, picks, topper and skirt. It looks full from every place you’ll actually see it, and you never open a box.

What a professional decorator does differently
Most of the difference between a nice tree and a finished one happens before the first ornament goes on. This is the order we work in, and why.
We spend the first hour on branches
On an artificial tree, every tip gets separated and fanned up and out, alternating directions so there’s no flat side and no visible center pole. It is slow, unglamorous work, and it decides how full the finished tree looks. On a fresh tree we prune the few branches that block the shape and open up gaps where ornaments can sit deep.
We light from the trunk out
Instead of winding strands around the outside, we run lights in and out along the main branches so the tree glows from inside. We plan for about 100 mini lights per foot of height, so 900 or more on a 9-foot tree. Lights are yours or your tree’s; if a pre-lit tree is too sparse or has dead sections, we’ll tell you before we start.
Ribbon goes on before ornaments
Ribbon sets the movement of the whole tree, so it goes on first and the ornaments fill in around it. We work with wired ribbon, usually two or three widths and textures, tucked into the branches rather than wrapped tight. Our ribbon guide walks through the methods.
The biggest ornaments go deepest
Large pieces get pushed toward the trunk, where they add depth and fill the dark center. Medium ornaments sit in the middle layer and the smallest go out near the tips. We group in odd numbers, mix finishes so nothing reads flat, and hang the breakable glass above where small hands and tails can reach.
Picks, topper and skirt finish it
Floral picks and sprays break up the round shapes and fill the last gaps. The topper is set so it sits straight and in scale with the tree, and a skirt or collar hides the stand and the cords.
We check it from where you’ll see it
Before we pack up, we look at the tree from the sofa, the front door, the kitchen island and the stairs, and fix whatever reads thin from those spots. A tree in an open great room is seen from three sides, and we decorate it that way.
Your décor, our collections, or something designed from scratch
Every tree we decorate falls into one of three packages. The difference is where the décor comes from.
- The Essential Trim, $450. You already own the lights, ribbon, topper and ornaments. We shape the tree and install all of it on a tree up to 9 feet, plus $100 per additional foot.
- The Signature Trim, $1,195. You choose one of our curated collections and we source everything: 100 to 150 feet of ribbon, 150+ shatterproof and accent ornaments, floral picks, a topper and a skirt or collar. Priced for a tree up to 7 feet, plus $300 per additional foot. The décor is yours to keep.
- The Grand Trim, $2,250. A private design consultation and mood board for your room, décor sourced from trade vendors and artisan makers, and white-glove installation. Priced for a tree up to 7 feet, plus $500 per additional foot.
Takedown is an add-on to any package: $250 for a tree up to 9 feet (plus $50 per additional foot), or $350 for the Grand Trim (plus $100 per additional foot). See packages and pricing for everything that’s included.

Fresh or artificial, any height
We decorate whatever tree you have. A few things are worth knowing about each.
Fresh-cut trees
Have the tree in its stand and watered at least a day before we come, so the branches can drop and settle. Heated indoor air dries a cut tree quickly, and a fresh tree can drink more than you’d expect in the first week. Check the water every day and keep it away from heat registers and the fireplace.
Artificial trees
These need the most shaping and reward it the most. If your tree is older and the tips have flattened from years in a box, tell us when you book; we may suggest extra time for fluffing or a fuller ribbon plan to cover thin spots.
Tall trees
Plenty of homes in Eagle, Star and the Boise foothills have great rooms that can take a 10- or 12-foot tree. Tell us the tree and ceiling heights when you inquire; taller trees are priced by the foot so the number is clear before we start.
How a tree comes together
Inquire
Send the tree height and the date you want it finished. Photos of the room help us plan.
Design
We agree on a palette and a ribbon plan. Signature clients pick a collection; Grand clients approve a mood board.
Install
Shaping, lights, ribbon, ornaments, picks, topper and skirt. Most trees take three to five hours.
Takedown, if you add it
In January we pack everything by size and type and label your bins for next year.
Tree decorating questions
Still wondering about something? Ask us directly or see the full questions page.
What should I have ready before you arrive?
Clear a few feet around the tree, put your décor bins nearby, and make sure there’s an outlet within reach of the tree. If your artificial tree is still in its box, tell us when you book so we plan the time for it.
Do you bring your own tools and ladders?
Yes. We bring ladders, wire, cutters and everything else we need, and we leave the room clean.
Is a professionally decorated tree safe with kids and pets?
Between the two of us we have seven kids, so we decorate with that in mind: shatterproof ornaments on the lower branches, breakable glass up high, and hooks closed so pieces don’t slide off when a branch gets bumped.
Will you add new pieces to the décor I already own?
If it would make a real difference, we’ll say so and tell you exactly what we’d add: usually a wider ribbon, a set of larger statement ornaments, or picks to fill gaps. You decide whether to add them.
How far ahead should I book?
Now is not too early. We’re taking a limited number of trees in 2026, and the days right after Thanksgiving (November 26) will go first.
