Boise has every kind of living room: a 1920s bungalow, a foothills home with a wall of glass, a brand-new build. We decorate for the room you actually have, so the tree fits it instead of fighting it.
One city, very different rooms
How we approach a tree changes a lot from one Boise neighborhood to the next.
Older and historic homes
Historic houses tend to have lower ceilings, smaller front rooms and original wood floors. A slim or pencil tree often looks more intentional than a full one squeezed into a corner, and we’re careful with stands, water and ladders on old floors.
Homes with big windows
When the tree stands in front of a window, people see it from the street at night as much as from the sofa. We light those trees fully on the window side and keep the palette strong enough to read from outside.
Newer builds
Open great rooms, higher ceilings and furniture that floats in the middle of the room. The tree is seen from several sides, so we decorate it that way and check it from the kitchen and the entry before we leave.
The Boise season, and when to book
Boise’s season starts early: the Capitol tree lighting and the holiday parade downtown, and Winter Garden aGlow at the Idaho Botanical Garden, all pull people out in late November and early December.
If you want your tree up for the first party or the first weekend of out-of-town family, book the week after Thanksgiving (November 26 in 2026). Want it before Thanksgiving instead? Ask about installs the week before.

My living room is small. Is a decorated tree still worth it?
Often more so. In a small room the tree is close enough to see every detail, so shaping and placement matter even more. We may suggest a slimmer tree or a tree that’s finished on three sides and set against the wall.
Do you decorate fresh trees from Boise lots and farms?
Yes. Give it a day in the stand before we arrive so the branches can drop, and keep the water topped up afterward; a warm living room pulls water out of a cut tree quickly.
