Star has grown fast, and a lot of families here are spending their first or second Christmas in a new house. That’s the best time to get the tree right, before the garage fills up with bins you don’t love.
First Christmas in a new house
New construction comes with its own set of tree decisions. Here’s what we help Star families sort out.
Find the outlet first
In a lot of new great rooms, the best spot for the tree is the corner by the big window, and the nearest outlet is across the room. Before the tree goes up, we’ll help you pick a spot where the cord can run cleanly, without a trip hazard across the floor.
Size the tree to the ceiling
Leave room for the topper plus a few inches of air. With 10-foot ceilings, that usually means a tree of 8 to 9 feet; vaulted rooms can go taller, but the tree should still look in proportion to the furniture around it.
Start the collection right
If you haven’t built up years of ornaments yet, the Signature Trim gives you a complete, coordinated collection that’s yours to keep. Next year, the Essential Trim puts it back up for a fraction of the cost.
Star at Christmas
Star’s tree lighting at the Riverhouse is one of the first signs the season has started out here, and families with kids tend to want their own tree up by then.
We install in Star throughout late November and December. Star is a short drive from Eagle along State Highway 44, so it’s well within our regular service area: new subdivisions, acreage and homes along the Boise River.
Acreage homes often have large windows, long sightlines and more than one living space. We’re happy to plan a second tree for a family room or a loft, in the same palette as the main one.

Yes. Star and the areas around it are part of our regular service area. Tell us where you are when you inquire.
We just moved in and don’t own much décor. Where do we start?
With the Signature Trim. You choose a collection and we bring the décor: ribbon, 150+ ornaments, picks, a topper and a skirt or collar, installed with your lights or on your pre-lit tree. The décor stays with you.
Can we decorate with the kids and have you finish it?
We love that idea. Set aside the ornaments that matter most to your family; we’ll leave room for them, and the kids can hang them after we finish.
